Bristol-based design practice Walter Jack Studio latest installation is in the courtyard of the Bristol Heart Centre. It is based on the mathematic concept of the ‘endless ring’.
The whole structure describes the movement in the ‘endless ring’, each segment represents a single frame in the transformation from triangle to ring.
The structure is made up six rings of coloured, laser-cut aluminium sheets that are each folded into a tetrahedron. 1,200 rivets are used to hold tensioned steel ropes into place.

The Endless Ring is one of seven art works designed specifically for the Bristol Heart Centre. The design of the internal courtyard is a collaboration between landscape architect FIRA and Walter Jack Studio.
